SPORTSMAN TO CODY BISHOP

AUGUST 25, 2019 – KINGSTON, MA – The Silver Lake Shootout attracted six pilots for a day of Formula GX action. The weather was mostly overcast, seasonably cool with occasional light to moderate showers. The breeze was reasonably light and not a factor.

Round one action saw Paul Kubek and Neil Simpson post 620 point wins over Brian Stas and Chris Sarnowski respectively. In round two Neil got past Paul in a well flown match while Brian and Chris were posting good wins over Cody and Bill Bishop to get back into contention following slow starts. In round three Brian jumped into the contest lead with a one cut win over Neil. In the same round Chris and Paul mid-aired posting low scores as a result. In the final round Paul got an airtime win over Bill. Cody did the same in a match with Neil as did Brian in the final with Chris. When the scores were tabulated Brian had the win followed by Neil and Paul. Cody and Bill Bishop battled all day long for the sportsman “gold” with Cody winning in the end.
