Silver Lake Shootout

NEIL SIMPSON, CHRIS SARNOWSKI & CODY BISHOP ARE TOP THREE

AUGUST 23, 2020- KINGSTON, MA – The Silver Lake Shootout attracted six pilots for a day of Formula GX action. The weather was sunny and hot. The breeze was quite light and not a factor.

Round one action saw Cody Bishop get off to the best start posting a 620 point win. Chris Sarnowski and Neil Simpson were in close pursuit as they flew each other to a one cut apiece draw in their first round match. In round two Neil got past Cody with a two cut win. Meanwhile Joe Fustolo and Chris were flying each other to a one cut apiece round two draw. In round three Cody got an airtime win over Chris. Neil and Brian Stas also posted airtime wins in round three. In the final round Chris got a one cut win over Bill Bishop to propel himself into second place when, in the next match, Cody took an airtime loss to Joe. In the final Neil matched up with Brian. Lots of twisting and turning early with Neil getting a cut somewhere around the halfway point and then after a little more good action a mid-air occurred. In the end Neil still had enough points for the contest win followed by Chris and Cody.
