MAY 15, 2022 – KINGSTON, MA – The Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston, Massachusetts was the location for the Spring Championships, opening day of the 2022 control line combat season in New England. The weather was partly sunny and warm withi a steady breeze. The grass at the Kingston facility was very green. Conditions were ideal for a good day of Formula GX action. Seven pilots were on hand to enjoy the day.

Slow starts in round one left Bill Bishop leading with 725 points while Brian Stas and Joe Fustolo, were sitting with 620 points each. In round two Bill earned a one cut win over Joe while Brian was posting a two cut win over Cody Bishop.Next, Neil tried to get in the hunt with two cut win over Rick Clark. Round three started with Brian and Bill flying to a one cut apiece draw. After that Jeff Vader and Neil flew to a one cut apiece draw, as well..In the semi-final Brian got past Joe with a two cut winhe final Bill and Neill twisted and turned for about a minute when that match ended in a line tangle crash. Some good flying on this day however several ugly matches were proof that there was some winter rust as well.

Thank you to Brian Stas for securing the permit at this great location.
